Community Involvement:
Aimee and her husband are active members of Sacred Heart Parish in southern Oregon, where she serves as a reader, sacristan, and choir member and is often working on special projects that involve her Spanish-speaking abilities. Aimee is a volunteer writer for online Catholic resources (The Fruitful Hollow and Catholic Women in Business). She serves on the Board of The Rotary Club of Medford and Project Aurora Oregon (Rachel’s Vineyard). She serves as a volunteer at the county jail bringing the message of hope to women who are incarcerated.

Fun Fact:
Aimee and her husband solo sailed for two weeks around the Aporades Islands (Greece) in the Aegean Sea.

Hobbies:
Aimee is passionate about getting people together and creating connection in unique locations around the world. Outside of organizing events, depending on the season, you might find her foraging wild mushrooms for homemade pizzas, salsa dancing, cross-country skiing off the grid, growing vegetables in her garden or lake paddleboarding with her Gordon Setter, and watching college football cheering on the Colorado Buffaloes.

What I like about the Steier Group:
In recent years, Aimee felt a strong calling to use her professional talents & gifts more directly in service to her Faith. Her connection to the Steier Group began while working as a campaign volunteer at her parish. During that time, she was deeply inspired by the team’s mix of expertise and genuine care. The experience left such a strong impression that she was eager for the opportunity to join the firm's mission ever since.

Community Involvement: Christy serves as a communications volunteer on the Service Committee at her local Catholic parish, St. Peter's.

Hobbies: There’s nothing Christy enjoys more than a chance to get outside, enjoy a delicious meal and finish the day with a good book. She has a four-inch binder of recipes! She enjoys hiking, exploring new areas, visiting microbreweries, stand-up paddleboarding and yoga.

Interesting Fact: Christy’s first job was a political appointment with the George H.W. Bush administration in a tiny agency of the Department of Agriculture called the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation.

Why Steier Group: My Catholic education made me who I am today. Dylan and his family belong to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station, Texas. He serves as a founding board member of Sheepdog Ministries and ProjectYM, and coaches Catholic missionaries from various apostolates in personal support raising.

Interesting Fact:
Dylan once walked over 20 miles and slept in an open field in Krakow, Poland, to attend a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.

Hobbies:
Dylan loves spending time in the kitchen or by the grill. He is an avid sports fan and cherishes his annual tradition of being let down by an 8-4 Texas A&M football team. Dylan is also a collector of board games and scotch.

I have spent my entire career serving the work of various religious organizations, and it energizes me to work with the Steier Group and continue this work within the tight-knit community that has been built here.

Tom is an active parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas. He is a member of the pastoral council and is a sacristan. Tom and his wife serve as a mentor couple in parish marriage preparation.

Tom co-wrote a book on the theology and practice of spiritual accompaniment.

Tom enjoys cooking, coffee, hunting, fishing and doing do-it-yourself projects around the house.

What I like about the Steier Group:
Parish and school communities are where people encounter God in sacrament and community, and I feel called to support these communities in their Gospel-focused mission. At the Steier Group, I’ll be able to help these communities grow in both faith and generosity, because stewardship is not just fundraising, it’s an extension of evangelization. Ultimately, my goal is to support the mission of the Church and to create the conditions where more souls can encounter Christ.

What I like about the Steier Group:
Growing up in the Midwest, just across the street from cornfields, I witnessed the cycle and beauty of planting and harvesting. Throughout scripture these themes are woven, providing great insight into our faith and work. I see working at Steier Group as an opportunity to collaborate with parishes and other Catholic organizations to plant seeds that will bear much fruit, both now and for generations to come.

Audrey Cox and her husband, Anthony, are the proud parents of four children.

Community Involvement:
Audrey and her family attend Zion Lutheran Church in Ferndale, Michigan. She serves as the vice president of fundraising for the local elementary school PTA. Her family volunteers throughout the year with various nonprofits in Detroit that support hunger, neighborhood revitalization and homelessness.

Interesting Fact:
Audrey spent two weeks on an amazing cross-cultural immersion to Senegal in 2018. She learned about the phrase “teraanga,” which emphasizes Senegal’s generosity of spirit and defines their culture where everyone is safe and welcome. She carries this experience in all the work she does.

Hobbies:
She is an avid Detroit sports fan and loves live music. She also loves to be outdoors, hiking and jogging, with her family and dogs.

José sang for St. John Paul II in Denver, Colorado for World Youth Day, and again in New York City during the Pope’s visit as part of Brooklyn Diocese’s Schola Cantorum.

Hobbies:
In his home studio, José enjoys music production, guitar playing and singing. He helps other up-and-coming artists with their projects as part of a small team of musicians producers in Brooklyn.

Christopher recently moved to Florida and is now an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast. Previously, he served as a basketball coach and on the finance and campaign committees of his previous parish.

Christopher is one of 12 children, seven girls and five boys. On the DeTrempe side of the family, he has 34 nieces and nephews, plus more than 50 great nieces and nephews.

Joanna comes from a family of eight siblings. There are now 53 people in her family, including her two daughters and three grandchildren.

Joanna is an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in New Melle, Missouri. She also organized a monthly food collection program for her elementary students to support a local soup kitchen. She volunteers as a docent at the Daniel Boone Historic Home in Defiance, Missouri.

Interesting fact:
Joanna is a historical reenactor with a group that portrays the Colonial French villagers of the Upper Louisiana Region during the French and Indian War period, 1750s and 1760s. The group participates in events in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, New York, Michigan and Alabama. Joanna demonstrates bargello needlework, a type of embroidery made popular in the 17th century.

Joanna enjoys reading, sewing, gardening, camping, international travel and experimenting with new recipes.

Having been a Catholic school teacher and principal for over 20 years, I understand the positive impact a successful campaign can have on an organization. Kim is a member of St. James Seton parish in Omaha, where she sings and cantors in the choir. She has given over seven gallons of blood to the Red Cross, is the co-regional coordinator for the Nebraska region of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA), and was in a Parent-Teacher Organization of some sort from 2006-2023 (whew!).

INTERESTING FACT:
Kim is also the owner of Vertical Road, where she sells prints of her nature photography.

HOBBIES:
Kim is an avid hiker, a voracious reader, an alto and she cross stitches better than your grandma.

Angela is an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale, Iowa. She serves as a sponsor couple volunteer, 4-H Club leader and an Iowa State Fair Foundation volunteer. She also serves on the Polk County 4-H Endowment Committee.

Fun Fact:
Angela won first place for a mystery sack cooking contest at the Iowa State Fair. The contest involved using only one spoon, an electric skillet, a half hour of time and surprise ingredients to prepare a creation.

Hobbies:
Angela enjoys being a family story historian, loves going to the movies and having popcorn. She's a big Disney fan, loves the Iowa State Fair and small town community festivals. She also loves to travel and seek adventures.

Brandi Holys enjoys spending time with a close circle of friends who make Omaha home for her, as well as serving as "the cool auntie" to several of her friends' children, who often teach her new things about her phone, social media and Bluey. She enjoys the opportunity to visit extended family and friends whenever she can.

Community Involvement:
Brandi serves as a volunteer with the A Time to Heal Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing emotional support for cancer survivors and their caregivers, so they can live their best lives after treatment. Brandi is also a member of Women Investing in Nebraska, a growing group of women supporting the University of Nebraska.

Fun Fact:
Brandi values tenacity and perseverance. It has been said achieving a goal is like climbing a mountain. Before the state of South Dakota closed Mt. Rushmore, Brandi was part of a small group who was granted approval by the governor’s office to scale the monument. She enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime view of the Black Hills standing on top of President Washington’s head.

Hobbies:
In her free time, Brandi enjoys cooking, baking, live music, trips to the beach or pool, and has a rescue cat. She considers cycling and Pilates reformer her Zen and stress relief.

What I like about the Steier Group:
While it seems like there are many obstacles in the world and insurmountable challenges, philanthropy has the power to make a difference and change lives. I am excited to work with our clients to identify and address the most pressing needs in their communities, advise them in serving as a guardian of donor gifts, and help them build sustainable fundraising.

Sam has worked on several political campaigns and has met four U.S Senators and five Congressmen.

Jim Huycke has one adult child, Kathryn, and is married to Julie.

Jim has served on the board of directors for 2-1-1 Wisconsin and the Gateway Technical College human services advisory committee. He also is a founding member of the Homeless Assistance Coalition of Racine County, past president of the Statewide Grants Association and vice president of Racine Housing Coalition.

Fun Fact:
He studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and has a music collection that includes thousands of recordings.

Hobbies:
Jim works hard, but he is also passionate about his avocations, particularly motorcycling and music. He believes strongly in the benefits of travel, having covered nearly every state (many by motorcycle, including Hawaii), as well as Canada, Mexico, the British Virgin Islands, Scotland, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Austria.

Interesting Fact: I’ve met R. R. Reno, editor of First Things, at his home in New York.

What I like about the Steier Group: I am blessed to have a fulfilling career that keeps Christ as its explicit beginning and end. I saw how the Steier Group helped my home parish and wanted to be a part of helping others in the same way.

Diane has two adult daughters and four granddaughters.

Community Involvement:
Diane recently moved back to the Denver area where she has found a lovely parish to call home for her faith and ministry life.

Interesting Fact:
Diane was a medic in the U.S. Army. She spent 16 years in parish work as a parish administrator, director of stewardship and ministry development, and many positions in between.

Hobbies:
Diane enjoys taking long walks, sewing, reading, cooking for family gatherings and international travel. However, her greatest love is time spent with her four granddaughters.

The reason I love the Steier Group can be summed up best by the pastor of a former project: “Before, if someone had told me that we would build community at our parish through a capital campaign experience I wouldn’t have believed them. But you made a believer out of me.”

Lauren is a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, Texas. She is an avid supporter of the arts in her community and serves on the boards of various local charities.

Fun Fact:
Lauren once walked over 20 miles and slept in an open field in Krakow, Poland, to attend a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.

Hobbies:
Lauren enjoys hiking, camping and going on adventures with her family and three dogs. Her family has a goal of visiting all 63 national parks. She also enjoys baking, traveling and a good spa day.

What I like about the Steier Group:
I joined the Steier Group because I wanted to use my skills to help organizations achieve their goals. I get immense satisfaction when I can work with a group of parishioners, find out what they are passionate about and help them grow their skills to make those plans a reality.

Katelyn Whitty Cody enjoys spending time with her husband, Brennan, and their dog, Maisie. They are aunt and uncle to seven nieces and nephews.

Community Involvement:
Katelyn serves as the chapter adviser for the Alpha Chi Omega – Bucknell Chapter. She also serves as the Alpha Chi Omega educational grant and scholarship reviewer.

Fun Fact:
During high school, Katelyn had an original poem published in a poetry anthology. She's also lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Florida, Nebraska, Alabama, Indiana and New York.

Hobbies:
Katelyn enjoys reading, traveling, watching sports, spending time with family and friends who are all over the country. It makes visiting super fun!

What I like about the Steier Group:
I find that when I make an impact with the work that I am able to do, it is immensely more fulfilling and purposeful. I wanted to take on the challenge of using my talents in a new way while learning new skills to grow and develop as a professional.

Sam is an active member of Covenant Methodist Church in Dothan, Alabama. He serves as a CovKids Volunteer and is a USA Swimming official. He also volunteers for the Dothan Dolphins Swim Booster Club and Dothan City Schools.

Fun Fact:
Sam was born and raised on a large family farm in southeast Alabama near Dothan, the peanut capital of the world, where more than 65% of American peanuts are grown within a 100-mile radius.

Hobbies:
Sam enjoys traveling, swimming, going to the gym, cooking and visiting the beach with his family.

What I like about the Steier Group:
My calling has always been to work in a career that builds community and connections. I cannot think of any better way to do that than through the work that Steier Group facilitates across the country. Without strong and vibrant organizations like the ones that we help support and grow, we would not have the types of communities that our friends and neighbors can thrive in every day.
