As founder and CEO, Jim possesses in-depth knowledge of all Steier Group services.
Community Involvement:
Jim shares his time with nonprofits in the Omaha community, having served on boards for the National Safety Council and Stephen Center. In addition, he has volunteered at the Heart Ministry Center and Sienna-Francis House. Jim is extremely supportive of the Healing Kadi Foundation, Mount Michael Benedictine High School and Creighton Preparatory School. As a firm, the Steier Group is committed to contributing 10 percent of its profits to nonprofit organizations each year and Jim oversees the distribution of these charitable gifts.
Interesting Fact:
The Omaha Jaycees named Jim as one of the 10 Outstanding Young Omahans in 1999. Jim is also a licensed pilot.
Hobbies:
Jim enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with his family.

Community Involvement:
Matt and his family are parishioners at St. Wenceslaus in Omaha, where his kids attend school and where he is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Matt helps coach his kids in their many sporting activities and works with the Nebraska chapter of Alpha USA.
Fun Fact:
Matt was a contestant on “Wheel of Fortune.” How did he do? Matt doesn’t want to talk about it. But Pat and Vanna were nice!
Hobbies:
Matt used to enjoy golfing, playing basketball and travel, but with three children, he now spends most of his time in the car driving to sporting events, watching Disney movies and playing board games.

And not only meets those needs but provides in abundance.

Christopher is an active member and volunteer with the Italian Cultural Center in the Twin Cities, a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher and a supporter of the Minnesota Opera.

Christopher was adopted when he was 2 months old into a family of paternal French Canadian and maternal Italian descent.

Jamie's first child was born on April Fool’s Day. Her second child was born three years and one day later. Together they celebrate birth week every year. No joke!

Tom had a hole in one on hole No. 11 at Omaha Country Club in 1983. But you have to believe him as there were no witnesses - he was playing by himself!

Interesting Fact:
In the fall of 2009, MacGarret and his wife spent four months sailing around the world as staff members with Semester at Sea. During this voyage, they visited 10 countries, had a snowball fight on the Great Wall, and hiked the tallest mountain in Ghana, Mount Afadja.
Hobbies:
When he's not at a soccer field or in a gym with his kids' activities, MacGarret enjoys running, reading, woodworking and game nights with family.

Felix attended a Duke basketball camp in 1980, the first year Mike Krzyzewski was head coach. Felix was in high school and living in Turkey at the time. He flew over on a C-130 military paratrooper airplane to attend the camp. Felix won the dribbling contest and Coach K handed him an award (but no college scholarship offer).
Hobbies:
Felix enjoys reading, golf, basketball, softball and is an all-around sports enthusiast (more like, sports nut).

Ryan has seen both the aurora borealis (northern lights) and the aurora australis (southern lights) -- in Iceland and New Zealand, respectively.

I enjoy working with volunteers the most. Often, they are hesitant because being part of a fundraising volunteer team is rarely on the top of someone’s bucket list. Through my work, I get to help them overcome their hesitancy. Then, when they are successful in receiving a pledge, I get to help them celebrate! It’s a wonderful moment.

Community Involvement:
Aimee and her husband are active members of Sacred Heart Parish in southern Oregon, where she serves as a reader, sacristan, and choir member and is often working on special projects that involve her Spanish-speaking abilities. Aimee is a volunteer writer for online Catholic resources (The Fruitful Hollow and Catholic Women in Business). She serves on the Board of The Rotary Club of Medford and Project Aurora Oregon (Rachel’s Vineyard). She serves as a volunteer at the county jail bringing the message of hope to women who are incarcerated.
Fun Fact:
Aimee and her husband solo sailed for two weeks around the Aporades Islands (Greece) in the Aegean Sea.
Hobbies:
Aimee is passionate about getting people together and creating connection in unique locations around the world. Outside of organizing events, depending on the season, you might find her foraging wild mushrooms for homemade pizzas, salsa dancing, cross-country skiing off the grid, growing vegetables in her garden or lake paddleboarding with her Gordon Setter, and watching college football cheering on the Colorado Buffaloes.
What I like about the Steier Group:
In recent years, Aimee felt a strong calling to use her professional talents & gifts more directly in service to her Faith. Her connection to the Steier Group began while working as a campaign volunteer at her parish. During that time, she was deeply inspired by the team’s mix of expertise and genuine care. The experience left such a strong impression that she was eager for the opportunity to join the firm's mission ever since.

Community Involvement: Christy serves as a communications volunteer on the Service Committee at her local Catholic parish, St. Peter's.
Hobbies: There’s nothing Christy enjoys more than a chance to get outside, enjoy a delicious meal and finish the day with a good book. She has a four-inch binder of recipes! She enjoys hiking, exploring new areas, visiting microbreweries, stand-up paddleboarding and yoga.
Interesting Fact: Christy’s first job was a political appointment with the George H.W. Bush administration in a tiny agency of the Department of Agriculture called the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation.

Dylan and his family belong to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station, Texas. He serves as a founding board member of Sheepdog Ministries and ProjectYM, and coaches Catholic missionaries from various apostolates in personal support raising.

Dylan once walked over 20 miles and slept in an open field in Krakow, Poland, to attend a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.
Hobbies:
Dylan loves spending time in the kitchen or by the grill. He is an avid sports fan and cherishes his annual tradition of being let down by an 8-4 Texas A&M football team. Dylan is also a collector of board games and scotch.

Tom co-wrote a book on the theology and practice of spiritual accompaniment.

What I like about the Steier Group:
Growing up in the Midwest, just across the street from cornfields, I witnessed the cycle and beauty of planting and harvesting. Throughout scripture these themes are woven, providing great insight into our faith and work. I see working at Steier Group as an opportunity to collaborate with parishes and other Catholic organizations to plant seeds that will bear much fruit, both now and for generations to come.

Sam was born and raised on a large family farm in southeast Alabama near Dothan, the peanut capital of the world, where more than 65% of American peanuts are grown within a 100-mile radius.

Rich loves to ski, even with a full hip replacement. He doesn't play golf as often as he would like, but he still enjoys hitting the links. He also loves to watch sports and bad sitcoms.

Ellie is a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Parish Community at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Previously, she served as the marketing/design board chair for Fort Lewis Community Spouses Club, Fort Rucker Community Spouses Club and Social Design Alliance. She is also the past president of Fort Rucker Military Council for Catholic Women and is a current member of Camp Humphreys MCCW.

Tommy coaches, volunteers and serves a sports programmer for a nonprofit that puts on free sports leagues in Omaha for underprovided kids.

Tommy played five years of college baseball, and holds the Creighton University single-season record for lowest ERA at 1.62.

Tommy enjoys playing and watching sports, mainly baseball and basketball; he also enjoys spending time with his dog Rosie, a Shiba Inu.
