Community Involvement:
MacGarret and his family belong to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. MacGarret serves as the president of his children’s Catholic school advisory board, participates on the school finance committee and parish vocations committee, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Interesting Fact:
In the fall of 2009, MacGarret and his wife spent four months sailing around the world as staff members with Semester at Sea. During this voyage, they visited 10 countries, had a snowball fight on the Great Wall, and hiked the tallest mountain in Ghana, Mount Afadja.
Hobbies:
When he’s not at a soccer field or in a gym with his kids’ activities, MacGarret enjoys running, reading, woodworking and game nights with family.
