THE CHALLENGE
Aging facilities at St. Peter Catholic Church and School in Quincy, Illinois, were becoming a problem for the community. Additionally, with growing school enrollment, space was at a premium and needed. Upgrades to security and other features of the campus also needed to be addressed. Finally, simultaneous fundraising at the diocesan level could slow fundraising for the needs at St. Peter.
THE VISION
With a primary goal of building an entirely new cafeteria for the school and upgrading security in the school, additional needs to be addressed included:
- Creating a parish center.
- Building additional classrooms for the school to grow.
- Completing committed support for the diocesan campaign.
THE SOLUTION
The Steier Group team worked closely with St. Peter leadership for a campaign planning study that gauged the community’s interest in the goals and capacity for fundraising. By crafting a message around the needs of the current and future students at the school, the Upon this Rock: The Campaign to Build in Faith at St. Peter Capital Campaign effectively used the unique services of the Steier Group, including award-winning graphic designers and an onsite, dedicated campaign manager to build and execute the plan with the local community. Dedicated leadership and grassroots support led to a successful campaign that raised 142% of the goal.
