St. Mary’s Parish and School
Nearing its 100th anniversary, St. Mary’s Parish and School leaders in Bellevue, Nebraska, knew that now would be the perfect time to honor the past while planning for the future with a capital campaign. The church and school building had served the community well but had not seen updates in many years. Cardinal Blasé Cupich, in the 1980s, was pastor when the interior of the church was last updated. Goals for the Building for the Future on the Foundation of the Past Capital Campaign were preserving the stained glass, replacing the boiler and HVAC, renovating campus restrooms, expanding the narthex, updating the church and parish center, and reducing debt. Led by involved campaign chairs and other parish leadership, the community rallied around these goals to exceed the Steier Group’s projection.
“Your associates who walked with us on this journey - my first ever campaign effort - truly deserve much praise and gratitude for going above and beyond in their efforts. ... They were most helpful in guiding everyone through the process of conducting a campaign of this size.”
– Fr. Del Lape, Pastor, St. Mary's Church
