St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and School in Spring Green, Wisconsin, began 150 years ago with just a few faithful families. Now it has 450 families in its vibrant parish community. Though the parish is thriving, its buildings required upgrades. The parish teamed with the Steier Group on the Preserve Our Past, Build Our Future Capital Campaign. The Steier Group ran the campaign in tandem with one for St. Luke Catholic Church, which is 8 miles away and served by the same pastor. Though they share a priest, each parish has its own character, community and project needs. St. John the Evangelist’s essential projects included renovating the interior and exterior, addressing deferred maintenance and growing the endowment. The Steier Group tackled both campaigns using its trusted strategies such as a personal approach to fundraising, but adapted them as necessary to fit each client’s specific needs. The firm delivered success for both parishes. That enabled St. John the Evangelist to fund its projects and continue on its strong path.
