The Preserving our Past … Building our Future Capital Campaign addressed two pressing needs at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, Kansas. The parish offices, in a building designed to be a rectory, did not have enough space or amenities to function as a modern office. And the school’s gymnasium no longer met student needs – too small for official games or for all teams’ practices. In partnership with the Steier Group, the St. John faith family raised enough money to preserve its history while building a stronger future. Part of the parish’s success came in the form of $100,000 in grants. Now the parish offices and school gym will be fit for their purposes.
