Holy Name Cathedral partnered with the Steier Group to help lead this pillar of Chicago’s Catholic community through two capital campaigns. The goals of the first campaign were to complete building improvements, improve handicap accessibility, renovate the courtyard and grow the endowment. The focus of the second campaign was to restore the building’s lattice wood roof. These campaigns helped reshape the Archdiocese of Chicago’s home church, particularly in light of a partial roof fire and subsequent collapse. The campaign rallied support from many of downtown Chicago’s prominent Catholics as well as grassroots support from the cathedral’s many community supporters.
