Catholic Charities Diocese of Wichita serves the community in Kansas through a variety of ministries, including adult day services. This important ministry served 110 participants, but the program was near capacity. The main facility was already full and an additional facility was also filling up. Catholic Charities leadership knew it was time to more fully meet the needs of this ministry. In partnership with the Steier Group, Catholic Charities Diocese of Wichita launched a capital campaign to renovate its new facility. The new facility wil include expanded nursing facilities, bathrooms and changing areas and a covered entrance. A larger communal area will allow for all participants to now eat meals together. The communication materials proved vital to the success of the campaign, helping to inform the community about this relatively unknown ministry. Thanks to increased knowledge and strong support from the community, the campaign exceeded goal. The $5.9 million raised will allow the adult day services community to unite under one roof in a beautiful, renovated facility.
