Youth for Christ in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a non-denominational, nonprofit organization serving youth in Lincoln and the surrounding areas. Youth for Christ engages youth through three ministries: Campus Life to teens in high schools and middle schools; Juvenile Justice to jailed teens; and Parent Life to pregnant teens. Through regular programming and special events, YFC Lincoln Area works with over 2,400 local youth with the goal of engaging them in a healthy relationship with mentors, friends and God. YFC manages all of this important work despite working out of a converted house. This small space limited the organization’s ability to serve the community as much as possible. The Geared to the Times. Anchored to the Rock. campaign raised funds for a 12-square-foot Campus Life Youth Center. This new facility would have a multipurpose room with seating for 300, classrooms, a kitchen, outdoor space and more. The Lincoln community supported this effort, raising more than $1.8 million.
