After spending 25 years in temporary buildings, the faith family of St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle, Texas, will build a new spiritual home. After growing from 400 families in 1996 to more than 2,700 families today, this parish embarked on a journey to design and plan for a beautiful new church. St. Mark partnered with the Steier Group on a successful campaign planning study before launching a capital campaign. With $6.5 million in savings, the parish needed to raise as much as possible to limit any loans from the diocese for the $17.5 million church. Despite delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this faith community worked together to raise more than $10 million, exceeding all of the campaigns goals and limiting the loan needed from the diocese. The parish is scheduled to celebrate Mass in a beautiful, permanent church by Dec. 2023.
