For the last 150 years, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelbyville, Indiana, has served the Shelby County area through prayer, sacrament, service, outreach, education and formation – the pillars of the parish’s mission statement. Most pressing was a need to renovate the community’s historic church building. Additionally, the goal included expanding and redirecting parking and traffic, building a new parish life center and adoration chapel, increase safety on the church and school campus, and updating and building out the rectory for pastors who serve the church community.
St. Joseph leadership chose to partner with the Steier Group to create and manage the Let’s Grow St. Joe! Capital Campaign. The Steier Group provided expert communication, hands-on campaign management, grant writing, graphic design and other services to create a compelling case for the bold vision and the financial investment for the community. Together with the Steier Group, St. Joseph has raised nearly $8.9 million, allowing many of the projects to move forward as the plan for the future continues to grow.
