Holy Family Parish

THE CHALLENGE

Established in 1864 by immigrant families to the region, Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, Kansas, is a parish deeply rooted in faith and growth. The parish has long been a cornerstone of the community and more recently Holy Family experienced remarkable growth, which called for a capital campaign that led to the dedication of a new church in 2015. Yet as the parish continued to flourish, new needs emerged. Existing spaces for fellowship, ministry and formation no longer matched the vitality of parish life and portions of the historic church required preservation. Parish leadership recognized that to fully support its mission, it needed to build upon past success with a new, forward-looking investment.

THE VISION

Rooted in gratitude for what has been and guided by a strong sense of stewardship, a new campaign would focus on projects designed to serve a growing and active community. The vision included:

• Renovating the parish hall and kitchen.
• Completing the Fr. Riley Center to provide dedicated classrooms, meeting rooms and parish offices.
• Adding an elevator and bell tower to improve accessibility and fulfill the church’s architectural vision.
• Beginning structural repairs to the historic church to preserve it for future liturgies and events.

THE SOLUTION

Building on a previous successful campaign, Holy Family once again partnered with the Steier Group to guide a strategic and mission-focused fundraising effort. Through a clear process of engagement, communication and wide participation, the Sacred Inheritance, Anchored in Grace Capital Campaign inspired strong support across the community. The Steier Group’s structured and customized approach helped translate Holy Family’s deep sense of heritage and purpose into tangible results, surpassing the low-end projections. This parish demonstrated that a legacy of strength paired with vision leads to action, and is now positioned to expand ministries, enhance community life and preserve sacred spaces.
