Immaculate Conception Catholic Church

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, founded in 1858 in what’s now the inner city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is home to a diverse faith family. Parishioners had a historically significant gem in which to worship each Sunday, a 100-year-old church. But time had worn down this beautiful church, which needed restoration to its original grandeur. The parish initiated a capital campaign, called Our Mother, for Our Children, by partnering with the Steier Group. Campaign goals included repairing plaster and painting the interior, replacing lighting and the sound system, removing carpet and refinishing existing terrazzo flooring, refinishing pews, and installing a handicap-accessible restroom.

“Altogether, our experience with the Steier Group was enjoyable. I would recommend the Steier Group to any parishes considering a capital campaign.”

Rev. Christopher Podhaljsky, Pastor, Immaculate Conception

A Customized Approach

We founded our firm on the belief that the best capital campaign is one that is customized and executed by one team, under one roof. When you hire the Steier Group, you eliminate the need to contract with additional vendors for services like copywriting, graphic design, grant writing, video production, website development or wealth screening. We reject the one-size-fits-all approach to fundraising and embrace every opportunity to design a capital campaign plan that will maximize our client’s fundraising potential.
