Community involvement:
Shannon is a long-time grant reviewer for the Nebraska Arts Council, serves on development committees for local nonprofits in Atlanta, and in 2022, co-founded and served as Grants Chair for the Atlanta chapter of Impact100, a large giving circle for women.

Interesting fact:
For the first 15 years of her career, Shannon marketed and fundraised for opera companies across the nation, working with some of the world’s incredible musicians. As a trained classical musician, most of her professional singing days are behind her, but she has occasionally been an anthem singer at Big Ten athletics games and other local venues.

Hobbies:
Shannon is an arts tourist, venturing far and wide to see great performances. She loves taking weekend trips, studying presidential history, reading, and being aunt to 18 nieces and nephews.
