St. Bernadette Catholic Church held its first Mass in a movie theater in September 2001. Over the next 14 years, the community spent more than $12 million constructing a beautiful church and campus in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Although previous campaigns had helped ease some of that burden, the St. Bernadette community faced $6.8 million in debt. The parish leadership knew it was time for a debt-reduction campaign. The community turned to the Steier Group for the Fulfilling Our Promise Capital Campaign. This successful campaign has led to a reduction in debt for the St. Bernadette faith family. Subsequently, with a goal of reducing debt even more drastically, St. Bernadette enlisted the aid of the Steier Group for a second successful campaign above goal.
