Sioux Falls Catholic Schools

This unique capital campaign not only focused on Sioux Falls Catholic Schools, but the community as a whole. Money was raised to rebuild the high school and build a new performing arts center with plans to share the space with the entire Sioux Falls community. A brand new O’Gorman High School was unveiled in 2009. O’Gorman’s 1,000-seat Performing Art Center opened in the fall of 2011. Funding was also generated to install field turf on the football field to make it a multipurpose space and increase the number of activities held there. The campaign also supported endowments to benefit teachers’ salaries and tuition assistance. In total, the successful Building on Excellence Capital Campaign raised $35 million in cash gifts and an additional $19 million in planned gifts. The emphasis on planned giving and a strong overall campaign has set the Sioux Falls Catholic community up for a strong future.

A Customized Approach

We founded our firm on the belief that the best capital campaign is one that is customized and executed by one team, under one roof. When you hire the Steier Group, you eliminate the need to contract with additional vendors for services like copywriting, graphic design, grant writing, video production, website development or wealth screening. We reject the one-size-fits-all approach to fundraising and embrace every opportunity to design a capital campaign plan that will maximize our client’s fundraising potential.
