Holy Spirit Parish / Catholic Newman Center
An increase in Mass attendance is just one of the signs that ministries are thriving at the Holy Spirit Parish / Catholic Newman Center at the University of Kentucky. Though the center’s ministries are strong, its building needed attention. Constructed in 1972, it hadn’t been renovated in nearly 30 years. The center and parish in Lexington, Kentucky, partnered with the Steier Group on a capital campaign to address deferred maintenance and construct a 13,000-square-foot addition to provide more meeting rooms, classrooms, a student lounge and fellowship area, and a central office for staff and priests. The campaign’s first phase of solicitation focused on leadership, volunteers, major gift prospects, parish and Newman Center staff, and Holy Spirit parishioners. The solicitation effort was thorough. The approach succeeded. The campaign raised over $4 million, giving a powerful boost to the Newman Center and parish projects.
The Steier Group’s unique, hands-on campaign management model, combined with our world-class grant writers and creative fundraising strategies, allowed us to exceed goal.
A Customized Approach
We founded our firm on the belief that the best capital campaign is one that is customized and executed by one team, under one roof. When you hire the Steier Group, you eliminate the need to contract with additional vendors for services like copywriting, graphic design, grant writing, video production, website development or wealth screening. We reject the one-size-fits-all approach to fundraising and embrace every opportunity to design a capital campaign plan that will maximize our client’s fundraising potential.View all services offered
