Transparent communication was the focus throughout the capital campaign for the Diocese of Salina in Kansas. During the campaign planning study, parishioners made it clear that if the needs were explained, they would respond — and did they! In fact, more than 50 percent of parishioners in the diocese completed a pledge card. Nearly one-third of gifts were from parishioners who were first-time givers to the diocese. The first-ever campaign for the diocese created a strong foundation for future support and united the diocese as one Catholic family.
