THE CHALLENGE
Bringing together a proud legacy of faith, education and community, Gross Catholic High School approached an important moment that called for gratitude and action. For nearly six decades, the school has formed young men and women into Christian leaders, grounded in a tradition and committed to lives of service and excellence. And while the community continued to thrive, the realities of aging infrastructure and deferred maintenance were increasing issues. Critical systems were nearing the end of their life. Essential campus elements like the retaining wall between athletic fields and the parking lot posed both safety concerns and barriers to long-term sustainability. Compounding these challenges was the financial weight of past improvements. While recent additions such as the chapel, athletic upgrades and innovation spaces already enhanced student life, debt left behind from the projects limited future flexibility. These realities created a clear need: to strengthen the foundation of Gross Catholic and financially support the current needs to provide for future growth.
THE VISION
The goal for a capital campaign was not simply to address immediate concerns, but to ensure that every student who walks through its doors encounters an environment worth of the school’s mission. At its heart, the campaign focused on essential priorities including:
