Audubon Nebraska’s mission is the same as that of the National Audubon Society: to protect birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow. Nebraska is a bird hot spot, where eastern and western birds converge during migration. It is home to a special place along the Platte River where 1.5 million Sandhill Cranes gather each year while migrating north. Elevate: The Campaign for Audubon Nebraska is a statewide capital campaign conducted in conjunction with Audubon’s national campaign. This effort aimed to raise funds expand the organization‘s nature centers and trails, strengthen the conservation and education program, conserve land and protect the Platte River. The Steier Group offered executive counsel for this successful capital campaign that raised funds to protect birds and grow Audubon Nebraska.
