St. Pius X High School in Houston hired the Steier Group to conduct a campaign planning study and capital campaign for construction of a new science wing, expansion of its learning center and necessary updates to its core campus. The Steier Group projected the school could raise $3 million to 5 million and recommended St. Pius X move immediately into a campaign. The projection was based largely on the limited alumni participation rate and the small pool of major gift prospects. St. Pius leadership decided to pursue a $12 million campaign goal. To date, more than $5.5 million in pledges have been received. While this is only halfway to the school’s own goal, it is well over the Steier Group’s planning study projection.
