St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Grapevine, Texas, began as a mission parish seven decades ago with just a couple dozen families. Now the thriving parish in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has nearly 3,000 families and roughly 1,000 children in its faith formation programs. The growth has been a blessing but also placed a strain on the parish’s facilities. As with all homes, the parish home needed repairs and improvements. The parish hired the Steier Group for a major fundraising capital campaign for projects including renovating the church building, refurbishing the sanctuary and constructing a new faith formation center. The campaign preparation phase set the stage for a successful fundraising drive and included developing a communications plan, recruiting campaign leadership and evaluating donors. The Steier Group’s strategy involved a personal approach to major gift fundraising that used volunteer involvement, personal visits and specific pledge requests to maximize financial support from major donors. The successful Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future Capital Campaign will help the parish address its needs and stay strong for the generations to come.
