Over its 25 years, Risen Christ Catholic School has provided a Catholic education to students in Minneapolis. This dual immersion program serves a predominantly Spanish-speaking population where nine out of 10 children live in poverty. This important mission is valuable yet costly. A 2003 building project combined two campuses and made the school more efficient but led to $4 million in debt. Now, the weight of debt jeopardizes the school’s future.. Risen Christ partnered with the Steier Group for the Fulfilling the Promise debt reduction campaign. The Minneapolis Catholic community rallied around this school and raised enough to retire a portion of the debt and lower the annual payments by more than $150,000.
