Blessed Sacrament Parish, in Springfield, Ill., has raised more than $4.5 million in its Building on Tradition Capital Campaign.

With a growing enrollment at the parish school, Blessed Sacrament leadership hired the Steier Group to conduct a feasibility study in May of 2009. Based upon the positive results of the study, the leadership decided to embark on a capital campaign to expand and renovate Blessed Sacrament’s elementary school. The needs included: new classrooms for an expanding pre-school, enhanced library and media center, new multi-functional gymnasium and a new wing for office space.

More than 700 parishioners, school families, staff, alumni and area businesses made a commitment to the future of Blessed Sacrament. With this kind of enthusiastic and dedicated support, Blessed Sacrament was very pleased with the result of the campaign.

Everyone from the on-site campaign manager to the communications experts and executive team proved to be professional, honest and extremely hard-working. Their dedication and enthusiasm energized our volunteers and united them toward reaching our goal.“

Blessed Sacrament Parish finalized its building plans and prepared for construction to start in March 2010.
